We don’t have to tell you the summer has arrived and that menus new dishes at your favorite restaurant(s). All 15 of the locally and family-owned restaurants serve these 4 new dishes for dine-in, take-out or delivery.

Myke’s Pizza serves up new lunch specials

The popular Downtown Mesa pizza shop inside Cider Corps is now serving lunch specials every Tuesday – Friday from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

  • Mortadella Sandwich ($12.50) Layers of Italian favorites with a twist. Mortadella, burrata and pistachio pesto are piled onto a fresh baked pizza bread, drizzled with olive oil and then folded in half.

  • Meatball Sandwich ($14) Meaty and rich, this sandwich classic stuffs meatballs made in house with Arizona beef sourced from Capital Farms, marinara sauce and melty provolone cheese into fresh baked pizza bread.

  • Tuna Salad Sandwich ($12) This isn’t your mamma’s tuna salad. Meaty albacore tuna is tossed in house with just the right combination of lemon, red onion, capers, fennel, Castelvetrano olive and other seasoning. It’s generously topped onto fresh-baked pizza bread with cracked pepper and salad greens and a drizzle of olive oil.

  • Toasted Cheese Sandwich ($8) – Nothing beats this comfort classic with mozzarella, provolone and Kasseri cheeses toasted inside pizza bread. Served with a side of warm crushed tomato sauce.

  • Chips & Soda Combo ($3.50) – Add a bag of chips and soda with any sandwich order.

Swizzle Inn collecting classroom supplies

From July 1st – 27th the Madison neighborhood bar is collecting crayons, glue sticks, scissors and more for the Madison Elementary School District. Those bringing in supplies will be getting a ticket for the grand prize raffle at the end of the month. Those donating can also get a shot of the bar’s monthly $ shot the “Teacher’s Pet”.  The full list of needed supplies is posted in the bar or can be found on their Facebook page.

Four Corners Taphouse bringing elevated sports bar to NW Peoria

Next Monday, June 23rd marks the opening of Westside Concepts newest concept, Four Corners Taphouse on Lake Pleasant Pkwy in Peoria. The new upscale sports bar takes over the original location of Haymaker, another concept from owner Joey Lucidi and his team at WCs. Haymaker relocated across the street last year, and the transformation began. WCs also owns Copper & Sage, Maple & Rye, NW Coffee and other West Valley concepts.

“I am so excited for this new concept,” says Lucidi. “We’ve been wanting a local sports bar and taphouse for years. Moving Haymaker gave us the perfect opportunity to make it happen, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. It’s going to be the go-to spot for all the big games and fun times.”

During the first week of operation the restaurant will offer happy hour all day, every day until Sunday, June 29th. The “ultimate game-day spot” offers over 4,400 square feet of space with indoor and outdoor seating to watch the game on 21 oversized 85-inch flat screen TVs with 360 degrees of viewing from every seat and 24 beers on tap. The space was designed by Social Design Studio.

On the menu at Four Corners Taphouse

The menu will offer a variety of classic and new dishes that work well for date night or to watch your favorite team. Dishes include Chicken Nachos, Italian Beef Sandwiches, The Mac-Daddy Burger, Artisan Pizzas, Chicken Philly Hoagie and more. A curated cocktail and wine menu will be available in addition to rotating taps for guests to pair their meals with. Lunch specials and rotating dinner specials will be available Monday-Friday.

Cowboy BBQ for Wild Wild West celebration at Lakeside Bar & Grill

With its 17th anniversary fast approaching Peoria’s Lakeside Bar & Grill is getting ready for an all-day celebration on Saturday, April 26th from 11 a.m. – midnight. A special Cowboy BBQ themed menu will be available along with Western inspired cocktails and live entertainment. The family and pet friendly celebration will let kids’ eat for free until 2 p.m. with the purchase of an adult entree, with one free kids meal per adult.

The special Cowboy BBQ menu will include ribs, an appetizer combo and a crispy 1/2 chicken. Signature drinks will be served in themed glassware including a a cowboy mug cocktail made with pineapple jalapeño tequila, Triple Sec, lime juice, agave, Monin habanero syrup and Dos Equis lager. A boot-shaped shooter called the Six Shooter Bullseye features a mix of Dulce Vida Blanco tequila, Disaronno, Kahlua, Baileys, Goldschläger and butterscotch schnapps, layered with grenadine. Happy Hour food & drink specials will be available from 3 p.m. until closing just for the day’s party. Custom koozies will keep your drinks chilled and will be available while supplies last.

DJ Pollo starts entertaining party goers from 12- 4 p.m. and a kids’ lasso contest will be held during the day and an adult contest will be held in the evening. The Main Ingredient raising $$ for Pediatric Cancer

The Coranado neighborhood restaurant since 2010 is celebrating the opening of their new outdoor bar with $4.80 draft beers from 2p.m. til closing, raffles to win free sandwiches for a year, entertainment and an afternoon ribbon cutting with Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego. A portion of all the day’s sales will be donated to the Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children, who helps local families affected by cancer.

Pita Jungle Gilbert to donate money next Tuesday

On March 25th the location at 1431 E. Williams Field Rd. will donate 50% to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Guests dining in must mention LLS when ordering and those ordering online can enter promo code LLS as the coupon code. Third party deliveries are excluded from this promotion.

Women in Wine Tasting at GenuWine Arizona

The downtown Phoenix wine bar will be pouring 3 wines made by women on Thursday, March 27th from 6 -8 p.m. The cost is $10 unless you’re a Wine Club member then it’s free. The wines poured will be 20% off bottle purchases during the evening.

Bad Jimmy’s opens in Scottsdale

The popular burger food truck turned brick & mortar restaurant opened its 2nd location in Scottsdale this week at Miller & Indian School Rds. Open Wednesday – Monday at 11 a.m. the Scottsdale location follows the Downtown Phoenix location and presides a third location opening later in 2025 in Uptown Phoenix.

Thai Chili 2 Go continues expanding in 2025 and 2026

The quick casual Thai concept will be opening 7 locations in the coming 2 years with the first in Queen Creek in late March. Other locations opening later this year include Marana (near Tucson), Peoria (Vistancia), Surprise (Asante), Buckeye and near Cactus Rd. & Loop 303. In 2026 a second location in Buckeye at Verrado is planned. The new openings will bring a total of over 20 locations in Arizona.

Bao and fried chicken festival returning for 7th time

The 7th annual Arizona Bao and Dumpling Festival with the Fried Chicken and Wing Festival returns to Peoria’s Centennial Plaza Park on Saturday and Sunday, January 25th & 26th 2025. Over 20 vendors from all over the valley will feature festival exclusive sweet & savory foods with the goal of the festival to showcase local small businesses helping them grow and a place for people to discover and try new foods.

What is bao? According to Food Republic they are a “complete meal conveniently packed away in a white, warm, soft bun.” They are a type of dumpling like takoyaki and potstickers. With fried chicken being served all over the world, each culture has its own take of the comfort food favorite. With one ticket you can try a variety of bao, dumplings, fried chicken, wings and more.  Expect to see dishes from Hot Bamboo, Happy Buns, Flippin Rice, Boka Grindz and others serving hot and delicious foods. Live performances will keep people entertained and merchandise will be available for sale.

Tickets for the 7th annual Arizona Bao and Dumpling Festival are $14 for Early Admission at 11 a.m., $8 for General Admission at 12:30 p.m. and $6 Happy Hour admission at 2:30 p.m. Tickets for both days are available as are ticket bundles with merchandise and more. Veteran’s Day meals & deals around Arizona

Veteran’s Day is Monday, November 11th and on that day, we honor our military personnel and their families thanking them for their service and dedication to the United States of America. Throughout Arizona restaurants salute them by saving some money on food & drinks.

Cider Corps– Mesa- The veteran owned cidery not only celebrates Veteran’s Day but it’s 7th anniversary the weekend of November 8th-11th. Four new ciders including Ghost Army, Top Dogs and more will be released along with fun & games and limited-edition merchandise for sale.

There will also be a festive parking lot party with live music, muscle cars and more. The day is also a fundraiser for Tunnels to Towers Tempe. The nonprofit was founded for firefighter Stephen Siller and other first responders who lost their life on September 11th, 2001.

Lakeside Bar & Grill unveils a new look and new menu

With the Northwest Valley seeing a boom in new locally owned restaurants, Lakeside Bar & Grill has been serving guests since 2008. The owners figured 2024 would be a good time to do some renovations and make the popular hangout more inviting. The new modern look comes just as the restaurant rolls out a new menu of appetizers, sandwiches, cocktails and more.

The newly redesigned Lakeside Bar & Grill has removed and lowered walls for a more open feel, exposed the brick walls, installed new modern light fixtures and new floors. New state-of-the-art TVs have been installed around the restaurant and more seating options are available. New windows will allow for more natural light to show off the new features.

What’s new on the menu at Lakeside Bar & Grill

Don’t worry customer favorite wings, burgers and the all-you-can-eat-Friday-Fish-Fry are still available, but guests will notice new dishes throughout the menu. “We’re excited to share these new creations with our guests,” said Bill Toole, owner of POV Foods, the restaurant group that owns and operates Lakeside Bar & Grill. “We aim to deliver fresh, flavorful dishes that our community will love, and we believe these new specials are a perfect reflection of that.”

New to the appetizer section is two new flavors of wings, Zesty Lemon Pepper and a fiery tropical heat rub. Buffalo Shrimp is spicy and the Lakeside Ribs offer a half rack in a sweet heat sauce. For seafood lovers there’s the new Shoreline Calamari, hand breaded and served with lemon and house-made remoulade sauce.

Burger lovers will want to wrap their hands around the new double meat patty Smash Burger. New sandwiches include The Cuban, Shrimp Po’ Boy with beer battered shrimp & garlic caper remoulade and the Chipolte Chicken Sandwich.

Those looking for entrees will see the new Sweet Heat Shrimp Bowl, Tuscan Chicken Pasta, Crispy Roasted Chicken and Shrimp Skewers on the menu. The cocktail menu has also gotten a fresh look with new margaritas and more. Sizzlin’ Strawberry Pineapple and the Blueberry Coconut Blast margaritas join Mama’s Root Beer Martini and XO Espresso Martini as a few of the new cocktails.

The family friendly sports bar has also added Whiskey Wednesday as a daily special. All day you get $5 off Bulleit, Jameson and Bulleit Rye cocktails and $2 off all burgers.

Streets of New York offers new seasonal dishes

All 15 Arizona locations of the family-owned Italian restaurant and pizzeria have 4 new dishes for their “Fall Features” menu. The new menu is available until the end of November for dine-in, take-out and delivery and $1 from every cheesecake will be donated to Childhelp. Their mission is to help heal the physical, emotional, educational and spiritual needs of abused, neglected and at-risk children. The 4 new dishes are……

  • Burrata and Tomato – Rich and creamy Burrata paired with balsamic glazed heirloom tomatoes, roasted garlic, fresh basil and drizzled with Tuscan
    olive oil. Served with toasted, garlic buttered crostinis.
  • Penne alla Vodka with Burrata – Al dente penne pasta in a rich vodka sauce, topped with a creamy Burrata ball and fresh basil, drizzled with Tuscan olive oil.

LDV Winery has new Noshing Shareables Boards and hours

The downtown Scottsdale tasting room has new hours that are Sunday 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday-Thursday Noon- 9 p.m., Friday & Saturday 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Starting Monday, October 14th new LDV wine-infused shareable boards snacks will be available for purchase to enjoy with your wine.

The Sicilian Baker offer new autumn inspired sweets & treats

Fans of cannoli and other Sicilian inspired desserts can now get them at the Chandler, Phoenix and Peoria locations. Flavors such as cinnamon and pumpkin spice can be found in the four new treats.

The TLC eXperience is back with the Harvest Fundraiser Dinner

Dine under the stars in the orchard at Agritopia Farm in Gilbert on Friday, November 8th at 5 p.m. as they partner to raise money for the Arizona Urban Agriculture Foundation. Chef Tom and his culinary team are preparing a menu that uses locally sourced and grown ingredients for the multi-course dinner that never disappoints. The 4-hour dinner experience is $150 per person and the menu and reservations can be seen and made here.

After a little remodel, repairs and restocking of wine the Old Town Scottsdale tasting room is now open.

Metro Phoenix Night Market returning in October

Night markets are popular throughout Asian culture with food vendors offering up their delicious and homemade street food. The organizers of the Metro Phoenix Night Market and Arizona Bao and Dumpling Festival have announced the return of both food festivals in October. To accommodate as many people as possible one event is in the East Valley and the other in the West Valley.

Saturday, October 5th at 4:00 p.m. is where food vendors, anime artists and other vendors offer their glimpse into Asian culture. AZ Bao & Dumpling Festival with Nom Nom Noodles Fest

The 6th year of the popular festival is scheduled for Saturday, October 26th and Sunday the 27th at Peoria’s Centennial Plaza Park starting at 11 a.m. Over 20 food vendors and even more artists will be in attendance with different vendors scheduled for day. Early bird tickets are on-sale until September 30th for $10 and other tickets and merchandise can be purchased in advance at this link. Children under 12 and parking are free, and refunds are available up until 8 days before the festival.
