Cheers for Charity at GenuWine Arizona
This Sunday, June 25th a portion of the day’s sales will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. The downtown Phoenix wine bar will be open from 1 – 9 p.m.
Tiki Tuesday returns to Liberty Station Tavern
The DC Ranch location brings back their popular summer promotion starting next Tuesday, June 27th. The last Tuesday of the month through September starting at 5 p.m. enjoy specially made tropical drinks prepared by guest bartenders and tiki themed dishes Spam Fried Rice, Ahi Tuna Poke and Chicken Spring Rolls.
PIta Jungle’s “Summer Whirl” menu is now available
The locally owned healthy Mediterranean concept now offers 12 new dishes as part of their Seasonal Kitchen Crafts Menu. Participating locations are offering the dishes for dine-in, take-out & delivery and some of the dishes can be made gluten free. The new menu covers three sections, “Sun & Sea”, “Fields & Green” and “Street Food” that are $2.99 inflation busters. A few of the dishes include…..
Mediterranean Ceviche – Argentine wild shrimp, avocado, Persian cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, fresh cilantro, fresh lemon juice, evoo, homemade tortilla chips, garnished with raisins.
Albacore Tuna Tostada – Line caught Albacore Tuna Salad, homemade corn tostada, avocado, fresh radish, cilantro, mint, lime. Served with a tahini cabbage-kale super slaw. Made gluten-free with blue corn chips.
Andalusian Gazpacho – A chilled soup of ripe tomatoes, Persian cucumbers, red bell peppers, jalapeno, onions, garlic, served with pita chips, garnished with mint and a lemon wedge. (Vegetarian) Made vegan & gluten-free without pita chips.
Shawarma Toum Chicken Taco – Mediterranean-style dark-meat chicken Asada, toum, tomatoes, pickles, radish, red onions, jalapeno, cabbage kale super greens, tahini, Pita Jungle sriracha, parsley, corn tortilla. (Gluten-free)
Frashers Tavern hosting Wines of Italy dinner
Restaurateur George Frasher and Breakthru Beverage are hosting a four-course Italian wine dinner at his downtown Scottsdale restaurant on July 21st. The cocktail reception starts at 6 p.m. followed by a dinner of Antipasto & Toasted Raviolis, Caprese Salad & Fritto Misto, Portehouse & Pasta and Tiramisu & Cannoli. Cider Corps is a “Top Spot In Arizona for Frozen Drinks”
One of the top food & drink trends in 2023 is slushies according to Yelp with sales increased of 77% of the frozen drink. The downtown Mesa maker of award-winning ciders started making the frozen drinks in 2018 and are perfect for the hot summer months. The Mango slushie is a mainstay on the menu with a seasonal Strawberry Guava slushie making an appearance on occasion.
