The TLC eXperience is down on the farm for its Spring Fling

Saturday, April 8th brings the return of the supper club’s visit to San Tan Valley’s Rhiba Farm for a multi-coursed meal sourced from the farm. Social Hour begins at 5:30 with a farm tour to follow at 6:00 then dinner at 6:30. Seats are $175 per person and can be reserved at their website.

Get”baked” wings from ATL Wings at Mint Dispensary & Cafe next weekend

Get the munchies and satisfy them at the same time with the two day collaboration next Friday and Saturday, March 24th & 25th. The specialty wings will be tossed in 100mg infused sauce and are $20 for 8 wings. Mint Dispensary and Café is at 5210 S. Priest Dr., Guadalupe 85283.

The Spring 2023 Arizona Restaurant Week is set for…..

Friday May 18th – Sunday May 29th. The 10 day twice a year event has become “The Most Edible Time of Year” showcasing the Arizona culinary scene. The Arizona Restaurant Association has been bringing ARW to foodies for over 15 years and the list of participating restaurants has grown to well over 100. Restaurants create special 3 – course menus for $33, $44 or $55 just for ARW. With the list of restaurants growing and menus in development a full list will be revealed on May 1st at http://arizonarestaurantweek.com/.

STK Steakhouse expands with rooftop dining

The downtown Scottsdale restaurant along the canal now offers dining with a view of the scenic canal and neighborhood. The rooftop is open Thursday- Sunday starting at 4 p.m. and weekend brunch from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. With a full bar and fireplaces the new dining area is great for happy hour, dinner and is available for private functions.

Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers opens in Maricopa

The 14th location of the Scottsdale based restaurant has just opened its doors south of Phoenix. The largest of all the locations, Maricopa has indoor and outdoor dining that features 50 flat screen TVs, a 50 foot bar and a menu full of burgers, sandwiches, salads and tot-chos. The new location is at 20350 N. John Wayne Parkway in Sonoran Creek Marketplace. Locations in Buckeye’s Verrado and in metro Tucson in Oro valley are planned for later in 2023.

“Arizona Pizza” added to new Fall menu at Famous 48 Local Kitchen & Bar

The Shops at Gainey Ranch’s Famous 48 Local Kitchen & Bar has announced several changes to its operation including adding Arizona Pizza to the menu. One of the new changes is that the restaurant will open at 10 a.m. on Saturdays and Sunday’s so football fans can catch all the action.

The 4 new Arizona Pizzas are 12 inch thin and crispy crusts and use a mozzarella and provolone cheese blend. A cauliflower crust is also available with the 4 pizzas being…..

·         Margherita. Grilled tomato, basil, extra virgin olive oil

·         The Famous 48. Pepperoni, sausage, onion

·         Nacho Mama. Ground beef, shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, taco sauce, blend of cheddar-jack cheese, crumbled Nacho Cheese Doritos®

·         BBQ Chicken Pizza. BBQ Sauce, provolone, chicken, red onion, cilantro

“We like to keep our menus fresh and we’ll always offer Arizona favorites.  That’s the inspiration for the four pizzas on this new menu at Famous 48,” said Robert Wagner, executive chef, of Famous 48 and sister restaurant, Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers. “We aim to please and we’re happy the neighborhood enjoys our great food.”

With the new pizza’s come a special happy hour deal every Monday -Friday from 3 – 6 p.m. Guests can enjoy a Arizona Pizza and bottle of red or white house wine for only $25. To end your meal, they’ve also added a new option to a favorite dessert. The skillet cookie option of white chocolate macadamia, caramel sauce with vanilla bean ice cream joins a classic chocolate chip cookie skillet with vanilla ice cream.

In honor of National Cheese Lovers Day on Wednesday January 20th all locations are offering up the deal on the popular comfort food. Baked and topped with Parmesan cheese and bread crumbs guests can choose from 40 different toppings. This deal is only good for dine-in and is good on mac n cheese of equal or lesser value.

Found:RE Hotel’s Passport Series goes to Mexico

The downtown Phoenix hotel hosts their monthly night with international flavor on Saturday January 16th. The pool and bar area will be transformed for a Mexican vacation with food, cocktails and more. The fiesta goes from 6 – 10 p.m. and more information can be found on their website.

Good news as Cider Corps releases seasonal pie ciders

The popular Pumpkin Pie, Peach Cobbler & Cherry Crisp ciders are now available by the can. Signature cakes turn to pies at Chase’s Diner

Saturday January 23rd is National Pie Day at the Chandler diner, known for their scratch made desserts, is making two signature pies for the occasion. Turning their Carrot & German Chocolate Cake into pies guest can enjoy them by the slice ($4.29) or the whole darn pie ($13.99). Whole pies need to be ordered in advance.

Round 5 of Hotel Valley Ho’s Versus Series pits beer vs. wine

Which goes better with food, beer or wine? Find out on January 23rd when the Old Town Scottsdale hotel hosts another reception and three-course dinner. Tempe’s Huss Brewing Co. and Sonoma County’s Rodney Strong Vineyards will pair the beers and wines to see who wins. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. and is $129++ per person.

Cold Beers & Pizza coming to Old Town Scottsdale in December

The popular Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers in Old Town Scottsdale is getting a new neighbor next month. That’s when owners Square One Concepts will open Cold Beers & Pizza, Local Pizza Joint next to its “big sister”. The restaurant will feature Midwest style “thin crust” and hand tossed Neapolitan pizzas and 70+ beers on tap, in bottle and can.

Square One Concepts Founder & CEO, S. Barrett Rinzler, said: “It’s a challenging time for all of us in the restaurant industry. But the way we see it, we’ve got to keep living and doing things for the future. This seemed like a natural next step. We now know how to cope with the ‘new normal,’ so we feel confident that we can open a new concept and continue the very best health practices per CDC and Arizona guidelines, for our customers and our staff.

The walk up style restaurant will offer a relaxed atmosphere in the dining room and on the patio. Servers will be on hand to deliver beverages and answer questions and like Cold Beers & cheeseburgers the restaurant will have big screen TVs although fewer. The dining room will be filled with tables and booths for dining.

The menu will include an extensive list of traditional pizzas and a BYOP, “Build Your Own Pizza” options. Gluten free and cauliflower crusts will be offered. Classic pastas, salads and sandwiches give diners options, make sure you save room for dessert.

“In fact, our team is very excited to launch Cold Beers & Pizza, and dovetail, you might say, off our popular Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers brand. We’re working hard to be sure everyone can enjoy this new branch of our restaurant family. We’ve created delicious, straightforward pizza options and a menu we know everyone can enjoy.”
