New Happy Hour specials at Source

The restaurant at Epicenter at Agritopia in Gilbert just rolled out new Happy Hour specials available Wednesday – Friday from  3- 6 p.m.

  • Snack: Chickpea Hummus with pickled veggies and za’atar flatbread, $11
  • Pizza: Mozzarella with tomato, oregano and Decimi extra virgin olive oil, $10
  • Natural wines: $7 per glass or $25 per bottle
  • Beer: $5 each

Third Tuesday Tasting Dinner at Romeo’s Euro Cafe

The Downtown Gilbert cafe will be serving up another of its popular 3-course wine dinners next Tuesday, June 17th. Dinner starts with a Watermelon Wedge Salad followed by Chicken Breast stuffed with hearts of palms and prosciutto and ends with Black Forest Cookie Dough Brownie Bombs. The dinner is $48++ per person, and reservations can be made by calling 480-962-4224.

Sphinx Date Co. Palm & Pantry relocating

The Old Town Scottsdale shop specializing in locally made artisan foods and more is making an unexpected relocation this summer due to a change in their lease. No address has been announced yet but as you can imagine relocating during the slow summer season is especially difficult.

Co-owners & mother and daughter Sharyn & Rebecca Seitz are looking to remind everyone of the continued support for them and other local businesses during the summer months. Ways to help are to visit the store Monday- Saturday 9:00a.m. – 5:00 p.m., placing an order online, sharing stories about the shop or donating.

Summer Passes at GenuWine Arizona

The wine bar/shop in Downtown Phoenix is offering two Summer Passes for wine and beer lovers. The Wine Lover Summer Pass is $40, and the Beer Lover Summer Pass is $20. Enjoy discounted glasses of wine or beer all summer long with each pass offering 5 tastes and one can be redeemed per visit through August.

Summer specials return to Marcellino Ristorante

With return of the summer heat come incentives for locals to relax and let someone else do the cooking and Marcellino Ristorante is giving those braving the heat the return of two popular summer specials.

From now until September 6th guests can experience a Marcellino’s fine dining for a good value with his “Summer Supper Special”. The three course prie-fixe meal is served Tuesday thru Thursday from 4 p.m. until closing for up to 6 people per party for $49++ per person. Offered are a variety of antipasto, house made pastas and a decadent dessert. Choose from Caprese with fresh mozzarella or fresh mussels in white wine to start then move on to entrees such as Gnocchi Sorrentina, Salmone Con Cognac or the Pollo Saparito. Save room for the delicious Tiramisu to end your meal. Although not required, reservations for the Summer Supper are recommended and can be made by calling 480-990-9500.

“Dinner and a Movie” summer special

Starting next Tuesday, June 20th catch “Dinner and a Movie” in the restaurants private dining room. Starting at 5:30 p.m. every Tuesday and Wednesday enjoy the fore mentioned Summer Supper or order off the regular menu and settle in for an award-winning movie selected for their beautiful Italian setting. The room seats up to 10 people and there is no cost for the movie but dinner service and reservations are required. The schedule of movies include….

June 20; August 9; and August 29: “Only You”
June 21; June 27; September 6: “When in Rome”
June 28; August 8; and August 23: “The Talented Mr. Ripley”
July 11; August 16; and August 22: “Eat, Pray, Love”
July 12; and August 30: “Roman Holiday”
July 15; August 15; and September 5: “The Big Night”

Live music will continue every Thursday and Saturday through June and then every Saturday in July and August. The line-ups of musicians alternate between jazz, old time classics, contemporary hits, adult R & B and acclaimed tenor Daniel Hendricks who performs exclusively at Marcellino’s. Summer specials start early at Hash Kitchen

The unofficial start of summer is a week a way with Memorial Day weekend on the horizon and local restaurants are getting a head start on summer specials. Scottsdale’s Hash Kitchen is one restaurant with specials now available.

The breakfast and lunch restaurant offers 3 specials to make the summer go by a little easier for you and your wallet.

Bloody Wednesday’s gets you 50% off all Bloody Mary’s every Wednesday’s now until October 1st. Known for their Bloody Mary Bar with over 40 toppings guests can Build Their Own Bloody Mary(BYOBM) or go with The Original or The Virgin.

“Bottomless” Mimosa’s are available every Monday-Friday(except holidays) for penny refills after you’ve bought your first at $9.  Refresh yourself with a blueberry, mango, guava, red grapefruit and other flavored Mimosas all summer long.

Mom Monday’s lets kids under 12 eat free until October 1st when mom or dad purchase an adult entrée except on holidays.

New locations planned

Today there are 2 Hash Kitchen locations in Scottsdale but later this year there are plans to open 2 more locations in Chandler and Arcadia. Scottsdale locations are at Gainey Village at 8777 N. The Shops at Gainey Ranch’s Drexyl has introduced 4 specials for those who want to let somebody else do the cooking during the hot summer days and nights. These specials run all summer through Thursday, September 1st.
