Lakeside Bar & Grill blows out Sixteen Candles on Saturday

The Peoria bar & grill celebrate its 16th anniversary tomorrow and are throwing a 1980s themed party from 11 a.m. – midnight. The family friendly event encourages getting dressed up in retro ’80s attire, kids eat free with the purchase of an adult entree all day, a DJ spins tunes from 1- 4 p.m. and The Crown Kings take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Happy hour food and drink specials start at 3 p.m. and the day is filled with more fun 7 games including a hula hoop contest, face painting for kids and more.

Reminder: Verde Valley Wine Festival is tomorrow

Wedding Dress Event at Spinato’s Pizzeria in Uptown Phoenix

Wedding season is upon us, and the family owned restaurant is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024 and as part is celebrating with monthly events. Next Saturday, May 18th the Phoenix location will host a brunch and encourage guests to wear their favorite wedding dress and attire. As part of the event Spinato’s will be giving away a large catering event to a couple getting married or one celebrating an anniversary. Follow them on their social media for details.

Historic Brewing Company partners with NAU on new Cold IPA

The Flagstaff brewery announced that it and Northern Arizona University have licensed a new beer, Blue & Gold Cold IPA. The new beer is available at the breweries Williams and Flagstaff locations and throughout the state on draft and on store shelves. The 11-year old brewery and its owners, The Kennelly family have been a presence on and around campus and amongst the Northern Arizona hospitality community for years.

Restaurants joining Arizona Restaurant Week for the first time

Next Friday, May 16th is the start of the 10 day event showcasing Arizona’s vibrant culinary scene and many of the 160+ restaurants participating are participating for the first time. Some are recently opened and some realized how popular the twice annual event has become to the foodie community. New restaurants include Bar Cena, Lure Fish House, Barrio Cafe, Famous 66, Kaizen PHX, North Italia (multiple locations), The Rosticceria, Lylo Swim Club, Ra Sushi (multiple locations) and more.
