June is for brisket, shakes and floats at Miracle Mile Deli

June is less than a day away and the central Phoenix deli has some new food specials for the month.

Since June is Brisket Lovers Month enjoy a Brisket of Beef Sandwich, Times Square Cheesesteak or Big Dipper Sandwich and a regular fountain drink or iced tea for $19.49. It includes fries and a dill pickle. 
For the June, July & August enjoy MMD milk shakes and ice cream floats for $6.00 all Summer long. 


Tracy Dempsey is keeping busy in June with classes and events

The Tempe bakery and wine shop has weekly events as we move into the dogs days of summer.

Hands-On Cooking Class: Patio Apps & Cocktail Demo-Saturday, June 8, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
$75 per person/$68 for ODV Wine Club members
Whether you take the party out to the patio or keep it in the air-conditioned house, you’ll want to join us to learn, cook and enjoy an array of warm weather friendly appetizers. We’ll also make several low-ABV cocktails to accompany these tasty summertime apps.

Wine Tasting with Dennis Willis of Hereafter Wines- Friday, June 14, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Dennis will be sharing some of his favorite wines from his unique offerings. Wines will be available for purchase to take home. There will also be charcuterie boxes in the cooler available for purchase if you want to hang out in the tasting space and make a happy hour of it! Drop-ins welcome. If you’d like to reserve a charcuterie box, let Tracy know no later than Monday, June 10.

Blue Clover Gin takes home the Gold

Scottsdale’s only distillery One Handsome Bastard won a Gold medal from the digital guide for wines and spirits, The Fifty Best.  More than 20 gins were judged before awarding The Best Gin with the medal.

Garden Bar PHX is looking for new owners

The downtown Phoenix cocktail bar is looking for new owners for the historic home or business according to current owners Kim & Kevin Hassarud. It’s been two and half years since they opened the bar, and their life has evolved, they need to prioritize other things according to their announcement.
