Tomaso Maggiore

The foundation started by the late re4stauranteur Tomaso Maggiore is hosting a cooking pan drive through December 31st for high school students looking to pursue a culinary arts career. Those looking to donate non-stick 6-inch omelet pans and 12-inch sauté pans can drop the off at The Mexicano restaurant on Cactus Rd. just east of Tatum Blvd. The pans are essential equipment in any kitchen and quite often students don’t have the means to purchase the pans themselves.

The Tomaso Maggiore Culinary Arts Foundation has provided over $44,000 worth of scholarships over the years in addition to collecting pans and other cookware. Their mission is to raise the professionalism and excellence it the valley’s culinary industry through education, internships, internships and international immersion programs.
