Beignets, beads, Cajun cuisine and a Bourbon Street vibe return to downtown Chandler for another year when the 12th Annual Southwest Cajun Fest happens Saturday, February 3rd at Dr. A.J. Chandler Park. Promoter Forty8 Live promises a fun filled day of New Orleans culture, music, stilt walkers, dueling pianos of course food & drinks.
“The Southwest Cajun Fest captures what makes Mardi Gras in New Orleans special – the sights, the smells, the spices and seasonings are all here,” said Keith Raab, director at Forty8 Live! “This year’s festival is bigger and better than ever, and we’re so excited to provide a day of magic in which Arizonans can gather and make memories.”
Starting at 2 p.m. and going into the night attendees can purchase a traditional seafood boil, crawfish, king cake and more from Bros Seafood, Louisiana Cajun, Jazzy Z’s and other food trucks and vendors. Mixologists will be shaking things up with NOLA’s favorite cocktails including fruity rum cocktails and daiquiris. Enjoy the entertainment including three hours of The Killing Dueling Pianos, strolling brass bands, stilt walkers, Mardi Gras bead throwing and more. The family friendly event has a petting zoo, face painting, bounces houses, backyard board games and more for kids.
Tickets for the 12th Annual Southwest Cajun Fest are $18 for General Admission and will slowly increase as we get closer to February third.
