Mesa’s Organ Stop Pizza has been helping raise money for cancer patients for over 3 years since it started selling WOW Wheat from Four Peaks Brewing. The beer is specially made to help raise money for The Joy Bus, a local non-profit who helps cancer patients with the daily struggle. Come WOW Week (October 16th – 22nd) the “pizza & pipes” restaurant will help raise more money by giving customers 10% off their food order when they donate $2 or more to The Joy Bus.
“This event is close to the hearts of all the Organ Stop Pizza employees,” said Jack Barz, co-owner of Organ Stop Pizza. “It is pretty difficult to find someone whose life hasn’t been impacted by cancer in some way or another, which is why we felt a strong pull to work with The Joy Bus organization.”
Jennifer Caraway founded The Joy Bus in 2011 and named after her dear friend who struggled with ovarian cancer. They deliver fresh meals with a friendly face around the valley. “Wow Wheat is one of our best-selling beers,” added Barz. “It doesn’t just taste good; it does good too. We are proud to sell the product, especially knowing that some of the money is going back to The Joy Bus and helping them continue to make a difference in so many lives.”
On Wednesday, October 18th from 4-7 p.m. representatives from Four Peaks will be on hand sampling the beer and giving away prizes. During WOW Week customers can $1 off pints of the specialty craft brew. For more information visit Organ Stop’s website or to make a donation see The Joy Bus website.
