Celebrate WOBtoberfest at World of Beer Tempe this Saturday October 12th

WOBtoberfestTime to bust out your favorite pair of lederhosen as we are smack dab in the middle of Octoberfest and there’s no better way to celebrate than with beers, Brats and beer maids. That and more are in store this Saturday, October 12th as World of Beer Tempe celebrates WOBtoberfest. Starting at 4 p.m. and going until closing at 2 a.m. Customer can enjoy 20 Oktoberfest and seasonal beers that include selections from Arizona breweries including SanTan Brewing, Four Peaks, Grand Canyon Brewing and Mudshark Brewing.

World’s Craft Beer Buyer, JP Watts said, “Our WOBtoberfest coincides with Oktoberfest at Tempe Town Lakes so folks can hit us up on their way or come and chill out after their done. Either way, we’re planning a free festive event with bands, tavern fare and craft beer for all.”

Traditional Brats and Bavarian pretzels along with other tavern fare will be available to pair with your beers. Live entertainment starts at 4 p.m. with Catfish Mustache taking the stage followed by Pride Through Strife, Fred Green and DJ Hanzerelli going on every 2 hours.

Beer me as World of Beer celebrates 1st Arizonaversary with 4 days of events

It’s been 1 year since World of Beer www.wobusa.com opened on Mill Ave. in Tempe and to celebrate their 1 year Arizonaversary they will offer their customers 4 days to celebrate.

Starting on Wed. August 7th. with a Firestone Walker party where some of their beers including Double Barrel Ale and Wookey Jack will be on tap all day with a few rare beers being tapped from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. that will include Parabola, Sucuba and Sixteen.

On Thursday and Friday August 8th & 9th over 50 rare and allocated beers will be tapped including North Coast Brewing’s Barrel Aged Old Rasputin XV and Odell Brewing’s Wooden Sidecar and Amuste.

Saturday August 10th World of Beer salutes Arizona breweries with “The Arizona Great Fifty Eight” in which 58 beers will be tapped from 26 Arizona breweries including the “Beer of the World” a World of Beer exclusive from San Tan Brewing Co. This beer is brewed using ingredients from around the world including American malt, European roasted barley, South American cacao nibs and African coffee just to name a few. The Grilled Cheese Truck will be on hand from 12 p.m.- 5p.m. then from 5 p.m. -10 p.m. The Hungry Monk’s new food truck The Traveling Monk will be serving pub favorites.

Customers visiting on these days will have a chance to win tickets to the Great American Beer Festival in October.

World of Beer Tempe is located at 526 S Mill Ave at the corner of 5th Street and Mill Ave and is open Monday-Friday, noon – 2 a.m. and Saturday-Sunday, 9 a.m. – 2 a.m.

World of Beer to open stores in Gilbert & Tuscon in late 2013

Beer drinkers rejoice as World of Beer www.wobusa.com has plans to open stores in Tucson and Gilbert before the end of the year. This happens a little over a year after they opened their 1st Arizona location in Tempe with Tucson opening in October and Gilbert in November. Since opening it’s 1st store in 2007 in Tampa, Florida and has since opened dozens of stores throughout the country building on the craft beer enthusiasm and growth seen in the beer industry.
