Jungle Vino available at Pita Jungle for National Drink Wine Day

The new private label wines from California’s Dunnigan Hills will be available at all locations on Thursday February 18th. The Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon are produced by Matchbook Wines and is $18 a bottle and $5 a glass at happy hour.

Bashas donates Paczki sales to St. VdP on February 16th

On Fat Tuesday the local grocer will donate 10% of sales of the Polish fruit filled pastry to St. Vincent de Paul. Customers who snap a selfie with the Paczki can tag @bashasmarkets on Facebook and Instagram and #PaczkiSelfie for a chance to win a$100 gift card. $.75 per or $2.99 for 6.

Bottomless fries at Hopdoddy Burger Bar for Fat Tuesday

The Camelback and Scottsdale burger joint kick off Mardi Gras with more fries than you can eat. All day you can choose from Parmesan Truffle, Green Chile Queso, BBQ Ranch and more. Available for dine-in or take-out.

Sazerac Cocktails & Craft buys new motor scooter for disabled vet

The downtown Phoenix bar raised money and donated their own to buy customer and disabled veteran Dave Little Eagle a new ride. Injured in a 2015 parachuting accident in Afghanistan old scooter broke down and couldn’t get in touch with the VA. Liberty Market celebrates Paczki Day on February 9th

Many people celebrate Fat Tuesday with King Cake but on Tuesday February 9th Gilbert’s Liberty Market is celebrating with the Polish favorite, Paczki a jelly filled fried pastry. This sweet treat has it’s own parade every year in Hamtramck Michigan and has people lined up outside bakeries around Detroit to get their Paczki on.

Liberty Market’s pastry chef LaDawn Driscoll will be up early on the 9th to prepare dozens of Paczki’s and LM is taking pre-orders for a dozen or more for customers to pick up; the deadline for pre-orders is Sunday night February 7th. They’re offering a choice of three fillings: chocolate cream, vanilla bean custard, or raspberry jam. Smaller orders will be taken first-come, first-served in person at the restaurant after 7:00am on Tuesday February 9th, while supplies last. Paczki are $3 each or $33 per dozen. Let the good times roll with Tom’s Thumb Cajun Beer Dinner Featuring Abita Beers

Just in time for Fat Tuesday & Mardi Gras, Tom’s Thumb Fresh Market says “Laissez les bon temps rouler” …. “Let the good times roll!” Chef Tudie Frank-Johnson taps into her Southern roots for a Cajun Beer dinner Chef Tudie is preparing a four-course meal to be paired with beers from Abita – a Louisiana brewery. This dinner will take place on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 6:30 – 8 pm for only $36 (plus tax & gratuity) so your wallet stays fat too.

Ross Strozewski from World Class Beverages will lead the pairings of Abita’s beers with Chef Tudie’s Cajun cooking. Guests will enjoy a four-course meal including:
