Let’s Get Pizza! 9th Annual Phoenix Pizza Fest returns in 2 weeks

When was the last time someone said to you “Let’s Get Pizza”, that someone should be David Tyda and that slogan should be on his business card. Tyda and his Phoenix Pizza Fest return to downtown Phoenix’s Maragret T. Hance Park on Saturday and Sunday November 16th & 17th for pizza, beer, pizza, live music, more pizza and an all-around good time.

Tickets for the popular event are on-sale online only and are sure to sell out before the big weekend gets here. Over 20 local pizza makers and other food vendors will have sweet & savory foods starting at 11 a.m. on both days. Pizza makers from across Arizona showing up include…

Flagstaff’s Pizzicletta, Charlie’s from Kingman, Family Joint from Green Valley and Tucson’s Lumbre Pizza A La Lena join Phoenix area’s Dough Riders, Nicastro, Otra Pizza and Moon Pie Pizza to name just a few. Wash them down with beers from Pedal Haus and Huss Brewing along with White Claw, Coppola Wines, Mule 2.0 and more at the well stocked bars. Bands set to perform include Casey Ryan, The Deadbeat Cousins, Chrome Rhino and others.

The annual Phoenix Pizza Fest benefits Downtown Phoenix Inc. who helps promote and market downtown area businesses to locals and visitors. Tickets are $16 and are available here.

Donuts and pizza are in good supply this weekend in downtown Phoenix

It’s going to be a busy weekend in downtown Phoenix for fans of pizza and donuts. Tickets are still available on-line for both festivals at Margaret T. Hance Park. Click on the link for information about Saturday’s Phoenix Pizza Festival and below is what I know about this Sunday’s Downtown Donut Festival.

About 4,000 festival goers are expected on each day and Sunday’s donut festival will have 20 donut vendors give or take. Hurt’s Donuts, Alien Donut’s, The Beignet Babe and The Local Donut are a few of the local donut shops showing off their sweetened fried dough. Arizona Wilderness Brewing will be pouring their beers all weekend along with wines from Acrobat. Donut festival goers can sip on specialty coffee drinks and Mimosas. Lawn games, live music, a kid’s zone and a marketplace with local vendors will be part of the festivals.

Donut samples will be a $1 each and the festival will benefit the Downtown Phoenix Inc. DPI promotes the re-development of downtown Phoenix by supporting events and local businesses.

The donut festival starts 10 a.m. and goes until 3 p.m. Tickets are $10 and $8 for entry after 12 noon. Tickets can be purchased only on-line at http://www.downtowndonutfest.com/

It will be a slice of heaven on Saturday November 16th as the Phoenix Pizza Festival returns to downtown Phoenix. Tickets are on sale for the 6 hour festival at Margaret T. Hance Park. Get there by bike, light rail or car to the conveniently located park that will host close to 20 pizza makers, dessert stations and more. Live music, lawn games and a kid’s zone will keep you busy in between bites and sips.

Grab a slice of pizza for $2-$4 or a whole pie and other tasty bites and wash it down with beer from local craft brewers.

3rd Annual Phoenix Pizza Festival returns to Margaret T. Hance Park

Phoenix is known for its pizza reputation whether your prefer artisan brick oven pizza, Chicago deep dish or a slice of thin New York style. It’s no wonder we’ve seen national and regional pizza restaurants invade the Phoenix area in the last few years. There’s no better way to debate who makes the best pizza than tasting pizza from some of Phoenix’s favorite pizza makers at the 3rd Annual Phoenix Pizza Festival on Saturday, November 18th.

At last years festival pizza aficionados had the chance to purchase slices, pies and more from pizza makers like Fabio on Fire, La Piazza Al Forno PHX, Nello’s, Rosati’s and others.

Festival goers washed down their pizza with beer from local craft brewers such as Mother Bunch Brewing, O.H.S.O Nano- Brewery, Helio Basin and more. Those attending this years festival can expect much of the same.

In addition to pizza there will be dessert food trucks, food related vendors, live bands, lawn games and a kid’s zone because you can only eat so much pizza before you need a break.

A limited amount of tickets for the Phoenix Pizza Festival are only available on-line for $10 with the festival going from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Margret T. Hance Park in downtown Phoenix.

The Phoenix Pizza festival partners with Downtown Phoenix Inc. as the charitable beneficiary of the event. The non-profit helps to promote the revitalization of downtown Phoenix by supporting local business’s and events.

It’s food festival season here in the Phoenix area with restaurants, food trucks, bartenders & foodies prepping their favorite food & drinks for the masses on a weekly basis. Saturday November 19th brings us the 2nd Annual Phoenix Pizza Festival as it converges on Margret T. Hance Park in downtown Phoenix.

15 pizza makers including Fabio on Fire, SuperFarm SuperTruck, La Piazza Al Forno Phx and Dough Mama will give the estimated 3,000+ festival attendees the opportunity to buy slices, full pies and more. Craft beers from Helio Basin Brewing Co, That Brewing Co. and other brewers along with wines will be available to pair with your pizza. Lawn games and live music will be adding to the festive food atmosphere.
