Puppies and Pancakes at Daily Dose on June 25th

Whether you’re a dog owner or not you can do your part to help raise money to help find them a home. On Saturday June 25th all 3 locations of Daily Dose hosts there Puppies and Pancakes fundraiser for the Arizona Humane Society. The locally owned restaurant serving breakfast and lunch in Tempe, Mid-Town Phoenix and Old Town Scottsdale (all with dog friendly patios) will donate $1 of any entrée served.

“We’re pet lovers here,” says Daily Dose co-owner JenLyn Long. “We love supporting the Arizona Humane Society and we invite everyone out to brunch for a good cause!” The restaurant has previously hosted fundraisers, Doggy Bag Dine-Out and Doggy Date Night to support the Arizona Humane Society.

“As a nonprofit organization that takes in more than 15,000 sick, injured and abused homeless animals each year, fundraisers like this that give back to our lifesaving services and programs are critical to the work we do,” says AHS Spokesperson Bretta Nelson. “We are so appreciative of the generosity and support of fellow pet lovers like our friends at Daily Dose.”

During Puppies and Pancakes guests can choose such entrées as Breakfast Nachos, Cinnamon Roll Cakes and the Hangover Sandwich. For more information can be found on their website or following them on Facebook or Instagram.

Woo Woo Burgers coming to Scottsdale with pop-up kick off

Z’ Tejas ghost kitchen that launched last June in Chandler is coming to Scottsdale starting Monday January 3rd 2022. With a pop-up launch by the lake at their McCormick Ranch location the first 200 guests get a free burger, side & a drink. Starting Monday the full menu will be available in Scottsdale for curbside pick-up or third party delivery. The pop-up starts at 11 a.m. and goes until there are no more burgers to serve.

Drink too much ringing in 2022, get back in the saddle first thing Saturday morning January 1st 2022 with the classic cocktail. All 3 locations kicking it off with their Bacon Bloody Mary and more with brunch.

New hours at Maui Pasta

The popular Gainey Ranch pasta shop and eatery come January 3rd 2022 will be open Monday – Saturday from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. The new hours reflect a continued focus by Chef Patty & her staff on making fresh pasta and scratch made Italian & Hawaiian food for dine-in, take-out & catering.

New year, fresh salad specials at Miracle Mile Deli

Those making resolutions to make better eating decisions can head to the central Phoenix deli for weekly $12 salads in January. Starting the 3rd-8th The Mediterranean Salad followed every Monday by the Aloha, Fiesta and Big City Chopped Salads are available.

Myke’s Pizza now open for lunch

Good news coming from downtown Mesa, the popular pizza joint inside Cider Corps is now open for lunch. Tuesday-Sunday you can get gourmet pizza starting at 11 a.m. Follow them on Instagram for dessert and pizza specials. Throwback a cold cider from Cider Corps or a hot coffee or tea from Pair Cupworks while you’re there.

Daily Dose rolls out new Fall inspired seasonal menu

Chompie’s is opening its new location next week

Big sandwich lovers in northeast Phoenix have been waiting for the new Chompie’s to open since it closed its location at Paradise Valley Mall. Walter Station Brewery releases limited edition AAWLager

The local brewer has partnered with the Arizona Animal Welfare League to celebrate its 50th anniversary saving the lives of over 100,000 homeless animals. The new beer will be released on Saturday June 5th from 12 – 4 pm at the Washington St. brewery. The 6 packs will be available all summer long at beer shops and at Walter Station with part of the proceeds being donated to AAWL. Their looking to raise $50,000 by their 50th birthday on August 20th.

Daily Dose partners with Harvest Compassion Center for back to school drive

Marcellino Ristorante hosting Learn & Lunch cooking classes

Home chefs looking to hone their skills at cooking authentic Italian food can reserve their seats at the downtown Scottsdale restaurant. Chef Marcellino offers his next monthly cooking class on Saturday, April 17th. The 2 hour class will teach you to prepare his signature ravioli with spinach and ricotta cheese. Doggie Date Night at Daily Dose Midtown

Grab your favorite canine and head to the restaurant at Highland & 20th St on the 3rd Thursday of the month. FRANCINE adds new dishes using award-winning olive oil

The Scottsdale restaurant is now using MillPress Imports olive oils sourced from Spain for new dishes. FRANCINE owner Laurent Balasz met MillPress owner Tim Balshi 15 years ago and uses his olive oil at his L.A. restaurant Fig & Olive. A few of the south of France inspired dishes using the olive oil include Mediterranean Branzino, Grilled Lamb Rack and Golden Apple Pear Sorbet.

Devour at Home pre-orders start February 1st

Foodies can start to order meals for the virtual food festival starting this coming Monday. Local restaurants will prepare meals for the weekend of February 27th and 28th. The virtual Devour at Home is the 2021 version of the annual Devour Culinary Classic from Local First Arizona. Only 25 orders from each restaurant will be available with 10 restaurants participating each day. Orders can be placed starting at 9 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. on February 19th. Daily Dose debuts dinner at its midtown location

Good news for dinner fans, the restaurant known for fresh and scratch made brunch debuts dinner on Tuesday February 2nd at its 20th St. and Highland location. New dishes include Chorizo Mac n Cheese, Roasted Baby Back Ribs, a selection of loaded fries and more. A new budget friendly happy hour will also be available and includes new cocktails.

 

Daily Dose to open new location near Tempe Marketplace

Owners JenLyn and Matt long are getting ready to open their 3rd location of their breakfast and lunch restaurant, Daily Dose. This will be the couple’s third location after their popular old town Scottsdale and central Phoenix locations. The new restaurant is expected to open any day now at Rio Salado Pkwy. & Rockford Dr. just east of Tempe Marketplace.

“We had been looking for the right location for a while, and finally found everything we wanted,” says JenLyn Long. “Ample parking, visibility, proximity to businesses, hotels, neighborhoods, the Cubs spring training facility, ASU… and the icing on the cake is an amazing landlord who supports mom and pop restaurants like ours.”

The Tempe location will serve the same dishes that its sister locations serve including Breakfast Nachos, Cinnamon Roll Pancakes and The Daily Dose Burger. The restaurant has an extensive craft beer list as well as a variety of Mimosa, Bloody Mary’s and coffee drinks. The 3,000 square foot restaurant will have the same orange colors and bright, cheery decor. Guest can dine indoors or outside on the spacious patio.

“We are committed to fresh, flavorful, real food. That means no shortcuts,” says Matt Long. “And while we may be known for our splurge-worthy items, we also have delicious healthy breakfast and lunch items like the power bowl, four flavors of Irish steel cut oats, gluten free pancakes and waffles, and the egg white wrap, loaded with veggies and served with fruit.”

Friday March 27th Daily Dose Rio Salado will raise money for juvenile diabetes. They are partnering with Kitchell to donate 20% of the day’s proceeds to JDRF for type 1 diabetes research.
