Spirits of Mexico

Start December exploring the the spirits and culture of the state of Chihuahua this Saturday and Sunday, December 2nd & 3rd at downtown Phoenix’s Heritage Square. The two day Spirits of Mexico Cultural & Tourism Festival will feature agave spirits tasting including mezcal, tequila and sotol along with live entertainment from a Mariachi band and Ballet Folklorico. Fine art from Mata Ortiz will also be available for viewing.

“The Spirits of Mexico Cultural & Tourism event is a great opportunity for Phoenix to get a taste of the beautiful culture in Chihuahua, Mexico,” said Yazmin Quezada, founder of Imex Events. “We hope this event encourages people to visit Chihuahua and promotes international tourism.”

Over 15 agave spirits and food trucks will on hand some of the best that Mexico and Chihuahua have to offer starting at 11 a.m. on both days. Tequila Corrido, Firme Mezcal, Izo Spirits and 1921 Tequila Cream are just a few of the spirits to be tasted. Toto’s Tacos, Testal, Amelio’s Taco Truck and others will be serving foods for purchase from open to close. Tickets are $50 each and include a recycled glass engraved shot glass, 10 sample tickets to taste the Spirits, access to the festival area, activities, and an option to register for a cooking class.
