New seasonal dishes at Over Easy

All 13 Phoenix area locations start serving new food & drink item today through March for breakfast & lunch for dine-in, take-out or delivery. A Chorizo Benedict and Strawberry Crunch Waffle will keep you warm and a new Cold Brew Mocha will keep you awake during the winter months.

Chef Selected Wine dinner Monday night at Rusconi’s in Phoenix

Chefs are known for preparing delicious dishes to be paired with wine but those same chefs don’t always pair the wines to accompany their food. This Monday night, January 8th Chef & owner Michael Rusconi not only planned the menu but chose the wines from California, Oregon and France that will best compliment his cooking. The 5-course dinner starts at 6 p.m. and will feature Blue Crab & Gulf Shrimp Cannelloni, Blueberry Barbecued Natural Pork and Roasted Opal Valley Lamb. Seats are $95++ and reservations can be made by calling 480-483-0009 or going online.

“Taste of Mexico” Mezcal Tasting Dinner at Los Sombreros Scottsdale

The south Scottsdale restaurant hosts the dinner Thursday, January 11th from 6-8:30 p.m. The 4-course regional menu will feature seafood and a traditional mole from Oaxaca paired with mezcal. Dinner is $79 per person and will be outdoors on the patio. For more information and to reserve your spot visit their website.

Hands on cooking demos at Tracy Dempsey Originals

January brings 2 classes for Saturday, January 13th & 20th at the Tempe bakery & kitchen. “If the Choux Fits” starts at 11:30 a.m. on the 13th and will learn to make craquelin chou/fancy cream puffs, profiteroles, gougères, and Parisian gnocchi. Learn, sample and take home recipes from the 3 hour pâte à chou demo. Seats are $20 or $18 for wine club members. Deadline is January 6th to sign up at tracy@tracydempseyoriginals.com.

Learn to make winning Super Bowl snacks on the 20th for the hands on class for festive & delicious appetizers. In the 2.5 hour class that begins at 11 a.m. you’ll learn to make Cubano Sliders, Asian Wing Chicken Meatballs with Sweet & Spicy Sriracha Sauce, Vegetarian Frito Chili Pie in a Bag and more. Attendees should bring their own apron; class is $75, $68 for ODV wine club members. Monday, January 8th is the deadline to sign up.

EVO North Scottsdale is open

The 2nd location of the popular Old Town Scottsdale spot from Nic Neuman opened recently in the spot formerly housing Sante. The kitchen cranks out comfy, cozy, Italian cuisine til 1:30 a.m. 7 nights a week. Happy hour is daily from 4-6 p.m. and weekend brunch is coming soon.
