The popular Peach Pizza is back at Myke’s Pizza for a limited time
August is for peaches and the downtown Mesa pizza restaurant is featuring them until supplies run, usually at the end of September. Owner & pizzaiolo Myke Olsen was inspired to use peaches by his mother making peach pies when he was growing up in Utah. Myke’s Pizza is inside Cider Corps and is open Tuesday-Sunday for lunch and dinner.
Tonight Pedal Haus celebrates its newly remodeled Tempe location
The local brewer welcomes the public to the “Haus Warming” party starting at 4 p.m. An expanded dining area and stage along with a remodeled patio will be showcased. All the details are in a featured post from July.
Dog Haus donating sales this weekend to Chandler Compadres
The Chandler location will be donating 20% of sales Saturday and Sunday to the non-profit that helps at risk kids and their families in the Chandler and the East Valley by donating time, resources and money. The entire menu and sales of alcohol are included in this weekend’s promotion. “We are thrilled to be supporting such an incredible charity,” stated Andi Ott, franchise owner of Dog Haus Chandler. “We strive to truly be a part of each community we are in, and we know teaming up with Chandler Compadres is a great way to do that.”
Coconut’s Fish Cafe designates August 29th as a day of giving for Maui.
All sales from next Tuesday will be donated to the Maui Strong Fund, set up to assist relief efforts from this month’s wildfires. Guests can visit their Shea Blvd. (Scottsdale) or Bell Rd. (Phoenix) locations for lunch or dinner or donate directly to the Maui Strong Fund.
Portillo’s to open Queen Creek location next Tuesday
Chicago natives in the southeast valley are jumping for joy as the popular restaurant known for Chicago style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, Char-grilled burgers and more opens on August 29th. The public is invited to the ribbon cutting at 10:00 a.m. with the doors opening to serve at 10:30. During the ribbon cutting VP Michael Portillo will be presenting a check to charity partners Queen Creek 4-H and Queen Creek Schools Education Foundation. The new location is at 20745 E. Walnut Rd. on SE corner of Ellsworth and Walnut. Guest are invited to keep up with events by joining their Portillo’s Birthday Club and those that do get free piece of Portillo’s homemade Chocolate Cake on their birthday.
