Saguaro Ski Summit Lodge

Downtown Phoenix’s Kimpton Hotel Palomar offers both hotel guests and locals to enjoy their ski chalet pop-up this holiday season through the end of the month. The 2nd floor lounge outside Blue Hound Kitchen has been transformed into the Saguaro Summit Ski Lodge offering guest’s winter themed cocktails and shareable snacks in a cozy and warming atmosphere. The Alpine lodge decor includes leather chairs and couches adorned with oversized comfy blankets, ski lift chairs rise above the floor and the ski racks hold real skis.

“After a day on the slopes, there’s nothing quite like leaving the bitter cold behind for the welcoming warmth of a mountain retreat. We want to recreate that feeling in the heart of downtown Phoenix,” says Devin Mahoney, General Manager of Kimpton Palomar Phoenix. “Saguaro Summit will be the perfect place to unwind, rejuvenate, and enjoy the company of friends and loved ones in a setting that exudes the spirit of apres-ski relaxation.”

The “Trail Map” offers eight signature cocktails along with “party starters’ of Skrewball Peanut Butter Egg Nog shots for all, wine and beer. Cocktails like the Apple Pie Martini, Hot Cocoa and Peppermint Bark Cafe Martini will warm your insides after a long day on the slopes. Snack on Summit Grilled Cheese with smoky tomato dip, Fireside French Onion Soup, the Slope Side Fondue with cheese or chocolate and make sure you save room for Alpine Egg Nog Ice Cream and the Cross Country Cake made with mascarpone and ricotta cheeses. All the cocktails are $18 and the Bites & Delights are between $11 – $24.

The Saguaro Ski Summit Lodge is open daily from 4 – 11p.m. through the holidays and reservations are not necessary. For more information visit the hotel’s website.
