With the Phoenix area coming close to setting record breaking hot temperatures a good way to get through the summer is to think of the cool days ahead. For me it’s the training camp of football teams opening later this month, for others its Oktoberfest. For those who look forward the celebration of German beer and food continue reading. Pedal Haus Brewery and SanTan Brewing are again hosting their 2nd annual Oktoberfest in downtown Chandler’s Dr. A.J. Chandler Park.
With the popularity of last year’s festival it was decided that this year’s festival would be held over two days, Saturday September 30th and Sunday October 1st. The festival starts at 1 p.m. both days and goes until 10 p.m. on Saturday and 8 p.m. on Sunday. For the festival special Oktoberfest beers from both breweries will be released with other craft beers, canned cocktails, German food will be available for purchase. Live music, contests and a kid’s play zone will keep festival goers entertained over the two days.
Early bird tickets are on sale at Eventbrite for $15 and $12 and will go up in the coming weeks.
