early bird

Those planning to attend next month’s Verde Valley Wine Festival can save some money by purchasing their early bird tickets for only $40. The festival is returning to Waterfront Park in Cottonwood for its 6th year on Saturday, May 11th starting at 11 a.m. The festival was founded by Maynard James Keenan, owner & winemaker at Caduceus Cellars, Merkin Vineyards and Four 8 Wineworks.

“Not unlike wine growing in AZ, Old Town Cottonwood is on fire! So many world-class wines in one beautiful location. So many new producers and restaurants to discover. And stars have finally aligned on my busy schedule. I get to actually witness it all this year. Gonna be a great weekend,” said Keenan. The Verde Valley Wine Consortium and City of Cottonwood are sponsors of the annual event.

Over 20 wineries from the Verde Valley will be pouring their latest releases with those wines being available for purchase by the bottle and the case. Twisted Union Wine Co., Cove Mesa Vineyard, Four Tails and Garage East are just a few wineries that will be attending. That Brewery, Desert Diamond Distillery and Wild Tonic will be pouring their beer, spirits and kombucha and Crafty Cocktails will be pouring their mocktails. Plenty of food will be available for purchase from Batchelor’s Pad BBQ, Rockin’ Rollz Lobster, Napoli Gardens and Italian Kitchen and more. Live music will be coming from the stage all day from What’s the Big Idea, The Well Dressed Wolves and other performers and local artists will be showing off their locally made wares.

Early bird tickets can be purchased online and come with 8 tasting tickets and a commemorative glass. Tickets purchased the day off at the door are $50 and come with the 8 tickets and glass. Non-drinkers can purchase tickets for $10 per person. For more information visit their website.
