Storytellers, the signature restaurant in the Cliff Castle Casino Hotel has a new executive chef to run the restaurant’s culinary team. Executive Chef Thomas Fowler is giving the restaurant a fresh perspective and will take the restaurant to the next level with his innovative culinary skills and an emphasis on fresh, quality ingredients.
Chef Fowler’s started his culinary career attending Great Lakes Culinary Institute in Traverse City, Michigan where he received a well-rounded culinary education. After graduating he went to work at a AAA Five Diamond French restaurant than to a Italian restaurant as a chef. Chef Fowler has created menus for large events around the country for the NBA, IndyCar and even prepared meals on an aircraft carrier. “With the addition of Chef Fowler and the introduction of our new menu, we’re setting a new standard of excellence at Storytellers,” said CEO Rojelio Rubio. “Our goal is to continuously improve the guest experience at Cliff Castle Casino, so we are excited for guests to experience this culinary transformation first-hand.”

His first role as Executive Chef was to create a new menu at Storytellers that include classic favorites, new flavor combinations and creative presentations so that guests will have a memorable dining experience. Signature dishes include a Seafood Trio of roasted lobster tails, seared diver scallops and skewered jumbo shrimp, a Flat-Iron Steak with crawfish buerre-blanc, smashed roasted Yukon gold potatoes and grilled asparagus and the Grilled Pork Chop comes topped with jalapeno chutney and is served with black garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. All the steaks in the restaurant are Certified Angus Beef and hand-cut in house. For dessert guests can choose from a variety of house-made cheesecakes and more. Located in Camp Verde, the heart of the Verde Valley wine country, the extensive wine list includes several local wines and varietals.
