Brody's Italian

Jason Brody started working at Nick’s Italian at Tatum & Shea when he was 15 years old but never thought he’d own it. After getting a degree at ASU he pursued internships in the sports industry but his love for Nick’s and the hospitality industry pulled him back in. After immersing himself in all facets of the business and working at all 3 locations he’s now the owner of the location where it all started. Jason purchased the business in 2022 is now ready to introduce Brody’s Italian.

“For 20 years, this restaurant has been my home, so it was only natural that I embarked on the journey to become its new owner. It’s a space I’ve been incredibly passionate about, and I’m excited to continue its legacy. After signing an extended lease, we’re injecting fresh energy and innovative ideas into the mix, ensuring an exciting journey ahead,” said Brody.

The grand unveiling at Brody’s Italian

Yesterday the new restaurant was unveiled to the public after its 1,800 square feet interior was upgraded including renovated bathrooms, a fresh coat of paint, a new logo, new booths & lighting and more. New dishes, wines and more were added to the menu as Jason looks to keep longstanding customers happy while introducing it to new customers. His dedication to hospitality and customer service was curated early in his career at Nick’s and he has no plans to change the customer experience but enhance it.

On Saturday, April 20th Jason will pay tribute to his father Jaime Brody who was a visible and philanthropic person in the community. The 20th is his birthday, and the restaurant is donating half of the proceeds of its signature Chicken Parmesan dish and JAB Cocktail to the Sojourner Center. The non-profit provides a place where victims of domestic abuse, sexual assault and human trafficking.
