What was once Relish Burger Bistro at The Phoenician Resort transforms into The Phoenician Tavern this spring. The new restaurant and bar will offer guests a relaxed atmosphere and a stunning view of the resorts golf course. When The Phoenician Tavern opens it will be part of the final phase of the properties three-year multi-million dollar re-model.
The new restaurant and bar will be attractive to resort guests and locals with its comfortable and contemporary design.
“It’s a friendly, traditional, tavern-style ambiance, where you can catch the game or enjoy a beer with your neighbors, but it also happens to have some of the most stunning views around,” said The Phoenician’s Director of Food & Beverage Lisa Mercer.
The Phoenician Tavern menu
Chef de Cuisine Michael Press has created a menu of “pub grub” favorites with ingredients of the highest quality at the AAA Five Diamond resort. Gourmet burgers, fish & chips, appetizers and more will be available for lunch, happy hour and dinner.
12 regional craft beers will be on tap along with almost 50 canned and bottled beers. Signature cocktails including The Blueberry Manhattan, Blood Orange Martini and more will also be available.
Win Happy Hour for a year
Before the tavern opens 100 locals will be picked to win a custom key for happy hour pricing for a year. A Sunday Funday prize pack will also be up grabs. Included will be a round of golf for 2, happy and dinner and an overnight stay at the resort. To enter both giveaways and more information head to https://www.thephoeniciantavern.com/

The Phoenix metro area doesn’t lack much in the culinary world nowadays but one thing I hear is it could use a good east coast styled diner. When I hear that I correct them and say we need “more” diners and remind them that down in Chandler there is Chase’s Diner.
Owners Skip and Nancy Chase are celebrating their success of 20 years with 3 days of fun and food for the whole family October 20th-22nd.
Chase’s Diner 3 days of events
Like all diners, Chase’s serves all 3 meals and will start the celebration during breakfast at 9 a.m. on Friday the 20th with a 3 hour-long “Friend or Fair” in which Chase’s vendors will be celebrating with customers and having fun with the kids. Hickman’s Family Farms, a local supplier of eggs, will be sending the Funky Chicken and friends from the City of Chandler, Arizona Restaurant Association and Dr. Pepper will be joining the anniversary celebration.
On Saturday the 21st it’s “Giveaway Day” with the first 50 guests receiving a card getting them a free short stack of Chase’s delicious buttermilk pancakes. Those same 50 guests will also eligible to win other great prizes including a flat screen TV, gift cards and the grand prize …. a years worth of pancakes.
Sunday will be Chase’s “Give Back Day” and will be raising money for Maricopa County Animal Care and Control. Kittens and puppies will be brought over from the shelter from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. to share their cuteness. Chase’s Diner will be matching dollar for dollar all money donated on the 22nd and will be collecting donations including collars, leashes, toys and bones throughout the month of October.
The 50s style Chase’s Diner is at 2040 N. Alma School Rd. Chandler and is open Sun. – Thurs. from 6 a.m. – 9p.m. and Fri. & Sat. 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Mark your calendar for next Thursday February 9th as it’s a day to celebrate at Chompie’s Delicatessen. They will celebrate National Bagel Day and their 38th anniversary with a little #BagelLove as all 5 Phoenix area Chompie’s will be giving away a FREE bagel w/ cream cheese with any Take-A-Way purchase…. that can include buying just a cup of coffee.
With over 30 bagel & bialys varieties and 13 handmade cream cheese flavors to spread on your bagel, guests will have a hard time deciding which combination to choose. The daily made bagels go quick and when there all gone so is the giveaway. A one bagel per person rule applies.
The New York style bagels made by Chompie’s are lightly crisp on the outside with a chewy & soft inside making for a favorite boiled and baked treat that helped put Chompie’s on the map back in 1979 when they opened their 1st location at 32nd St. & Greenway Rd. in north Phoenix. Now with 5 full service restaurants, deli counters, catering and a bagel factory the Borenstein family sure know how to share the #BagelLove.
